2GO BATANGAS to BORACAY (Caticlan) – Ferry Schedules & Fares

White sand, clear blue waters, exciting water activities, good food — Boracay has it all. This is why for a lot of people, Boracay is the first destination to come to mind when one says “beach.” For years, Boracay has claimed the crown for Philippine tourism poster island, and it hasn’t budged from its spot, especially after it was named as the best island in the world by multiple publications like Conde Nast Traveler. Any conversation about Philippine destinations won’t be complete without the mention of Boracay.

If Boracay is still in your bucket list waiting to be ticked off, you have all the reasons to visit. But it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t consider coming back if you’ve been there before. After all, Boracay always has something new to offer. Whether it’s a new restaurant, a new dessert craze, or a new attraction, you’ll surely find something new here. Of course, the world-famous White Beach is still there in all of its glory despite being crowded, especially during the summer months. And if it’s peace and quiet you’re after, there other beaches in Boracay that you can visit like Diniwid Beach or Puka Beach.

Getting to Boracay from Manila via Batangas Port

Like most of the tourist destinations in the Philippines, Boracay is easily accessible by plane. There are two main gateways going to Boracay: Kalibo Airport and Caticlan Airport. Kalibo Airport is one and a half to two hours away from Boracay. Meanwhile, Caticlan Airport is just a few minutes away from the island. However, airfare can still be a bit pricey. Although promos for airfare are now widely available, it might be a challenge to look for seat sales if you’re planning a trip during peak season.

Another way to get to Boracay if you’re coming from Manila is via Batangas Port. 2GO Travel has a Batangas to Caticlan (Boracay) route that ferries passengers multiple times weekly. The travel time may take longer, but it has its perks too. First, fares are cheaper year-round. Second, each ticket comes with a complimentary 50 kilograms baggage allowance which is a lot more than what you would get when you book a flight. And if you’re worried about the long travel time, 2GO Batangas to Caticlan (Boracay) trips usually sail at night, so you can get some shuteye while still in Batangas and trust that you’ll wake up in Caticlan.
