How to Get There
Nearest Airport: Naga Airport (Camarines Sur)
By Air
- To cut the travel time, book flight tickets from Manila to Naga City. Travel time is one hour 15 minutes.
- Once in the city, look for the terminal that has jeep trips bound for Pasacao; the fare is around P30 per way.
- After arriving at the port, you can board public boats traveling to San Pascual, the jump-off point to island hopping. The fare for the boat ride is around P130; the trip may take up to three hours.
By Land
- If you were unable to get cheap flight tickets, there are regular buses plying the Manila-Naga route that travel overnight. The fare for this varies from P600 to P1000, depending on the bus company and class of the seat.
- Once in Naga, look for the terminal that has jeep trips bound for Pasacao; the fare is around P30 per way.
- After arriving at the port, you can board public boats traveling to San Pascual, the jump-off point to island hopping. The fare for the boat ride is around P130; the trip may take up to three hours.

- The most striking characteristic of Animasola Island is the huge rock formation flanked by white sand and cerulean glass-like waters.
- Swim in the waters of the beach of the natural rock pools in the area.
- Take plenty of pictures of the spectacular beachscape; relax and unwind after a few rounds in the water or get a nice tan.
Don’t Forget
- Bring more than enough cash for the entire trip as it will be difficult to withdraw once you leave Naga City.
- Bring extra batteries and/or a power bank to keep your gadgets charged.
- Bring your own trash bag to gather your garbage after your trip.
- Put your cameras and phones in a dry bag to keep them from getting wet during the boat ride.
- Expect poor phone signal on the islands.
- The island can get crowded during noon and peak season.
- Wear protective footwear as some parts are slippery and have sharp rocks. Wear sun protection like hat or rashguard because there’s not much shade on the island.

- After exploring Burias Islands, you have options for other places to visit if you have a couple of days to spare. After returning to mainland Luzon, you can go further south to Albay to see Mt. Mayon, Cagsawa Ruins, and see the attractions near Legazpi City.
