Bonbon Beach

Bonbon Beach is a picturesque destination located in the municipality of Romblon. To clarify: Romblon is the name of the province, the island, and the municipality. Therefore, Bonbon Beach is in the Municipality of Romblon, on Romblon Island, in Romblon Province. All clear? Alright!

Bonbon Beach Romblon

This beach is not just popular, it was also named as one of the World’s Top 50 Beaches in 2024. Its light-colored sand and turquoise waters is a sight to behold for beach lovers. But what makes it even more stunning, especially when it’s low tide is its long sandbar connecting it to the smaller Bang-og Island. Bonbon Beach also faces west, making it a great spot to enjoy the sunset.

Last time we visited in 2022, the only commercial establishment was a guesthouse that serves as the entrance to the beach. Some amenities were still under construction then and the guesthouse is not operational yet. Another good thing about Bonbon beach is it’s so easily accessible from the town center.

How to Get to Bonbon Beach: From the town center, you can take a tricycle to Bonbon Beach’s entrance/jump-off point. The ride only takes around 10 minutes. From the highway, you just need to walk to get to the beach.

Talipasak Beach

Also situated on Romblon Island, Talipasak Beach is perfect for those looking for a peaceful retreat. While it is still easily accessible from the town center, it is hidden away from the crowd. Its sand is cream-colored with crushed corals and its crystal-clear waters have layers of turquoise and dark blue. This stretch of sand is shorter than Bonbon, but its natural beauty will still leave you in awe. We can honestly spend most of our time just hanging out at the beach while admiring the postcard-worthy scene.

Situated on this beach is San Pedro Beach Resort. They have accommodations that you can consider booking for your trip, but they also allow day tours. But don’t expect too much from the resort. We were told that there’s also a snorkeling site, but our team wasn’t able to explore that during the trip.

With its untouched natural beauty and laid-back vibe, Cobrador Island is a must-visit for anyone exploring Romblon.

This gorgeous island also hides another beauty — Tinagong Dagat, a natural saltwater pool. Adventurers would also love this island because on a rocky islet close by is a cliff diving spot. However, it was temporarily closed when our team visited. As of writing, it is labeled “permanently closed” on Google Maps.

But aside from nature and adventure, there’s also a community on the island. There’s even an elementary school right on the main beach. So if you’re visiting on a weekday during school months, make sure to avoid making too much noise.

Cobrador Island is also one of the stops of the three-island tour along with the nearby Alad and Logbon Islands.

These coves make up an idylic spot for a quiet day by the sea. There are also huts here where you can sit and relax when you’re not swimming or snorkeling.

At the center of the beach is a long wooden boardwalk leading to an overwater gazebo serving as a viewdeck where you can get a panoramic vista of the ocean. It is also a great spot to watch the sunset.
