It has always been a dream of mine to find pristine places that have never been photographed or documented. With that in mind, we decided to set out on a week-long expedition in Palawan, to places so remote that we didn’t even have access to freshwater for showers. Don’t even bother asking about electricity or cellular service.

The risk of finding these places involved entrusting our lives to 16 to 24-year-old boys who were masters of the sea, some of them were even former pirates. The risk has definitely been outweighed by the reward as we were treated to stunning views, and as I have hoped, places that have never been heavily photographed. There were absolutely no other tourists in sight. The footage I captured definitely does not give justice to the beauty I witnessed.  I also had to limit my drone flights to capture as much as I can while making the most out of my batteries. The wind was also very strong which ended up cracking an arm of my drone due to stress fractures brought about by it fighting the winds.

Equipment:
DJI Phantom 3 Professional, Panasonic GH4, GoPro Hero 4
