If we’re going by passenger traffic, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is by far the busiest airport in the Philippines. Combine this with Metro Manila’s chronic traffic congestion, getting in and out of the airport area becomes a journey all on its own.
Since NAIA is not yet directly connected to any railway networks, passengers and commuters find it most convenient to book a ride via a ride-hailing service app or take a taxi. However, this can be too expensive, particularly during rush hour. Taking public transportation — regular bus and jeepney — may be the cheapest option, but it can be awfully inconvenient, especially for those with luggage in tow, as it involves multiple transfers.
Here comes UBE Express! It is the premium airport point-to-point (P2P) bus service not only in Metro Manila but also in the South, specifically in Santa Rosa, Laguna and Imus, Cavite. It provides passengers with convenient and affordable direct airport transfers. Below are the UBE Express P2P bus routes and schedules.
But before that…
WHAT'S IN THIS GUIDE?
Tips and Reminders
- Terminal 3’s arrival area — Bay 12 outer lane, is the only pick-up location for UBE Express P2P bus routes coming from NAIA (Manila airport). If you are arriving at Terminal 1, 2, or 4, note that the free inter-terminal shuttle buses are exclusive for those who have connecting flights. Another alternative is to take the UBE Express NAIA Loop, which picks up passengers from Terminal 1, 2, and 4 to Terminal 3, but at no set time. The fare is P50 per person.
- Since UBE Express only operates point-to-point buses, these bus services will only drop you off at NAIA and their designated stations. You can’t just get off anywhere you please during the trip. Ensure that you are riding the correct bus route to your destination.
- There are times when the bus will not depart at the exact time indicated in the schedule. Weather, traffic, and road conditions are just some of the factors that affect the schedule.
- If you are traveling to the airport, it’s always better to allot enough (or even more) time for unforeseen events that may occur. For domestic flights, the ideal time to get to the airport is 2-3 hours before departure time; for international flights, 4-5 hours. It is better to be early than to miss your flight.
- From experience, UBE Express schedules and available routes tend to be volatile. Please check the official UBE Express Facebook Page for updates.
- UBE Express tickets are available online. If you are a foreigner and you need safe, secure, and reliable internet connection, consider purchasing an eSIM or a local SIM card or renting a pocket WiFi unit. You can book in advance online. These are also available for pick-up at the airport.
